WHAT WE WILL REMOVE:

  • appliances large & small
  • computer equipment & other electronics
  • furniture
  • used propane tanks
  • styrofoam, metal, plastics & glass
  • basic renovation debris
  • mattresses & drywall/gypsum *
  • cardboard & paper recycling
  • books
  • clothing
  • medications
  • green waste *
  • household garbage

WHAT WE WILL NOT REMOVE:

  • asbestos or asbestos containing materials
  • chemicals & oils
  • solvents & other flammable items
  • oil storage tanks & drums
  • hazardous waste
  • pianos
  • pesticides
  • automotive parts or bodies of vehicles
  • deceased animals or carcasses
  • deceased persons

SALES SERVICES

  • sales of unwanted items if requested

If requested, we will attempt to sell unwanted items in accordance with the following:

  • items for sale must be in good saleable condition, and if not, they will be donated/recycled or otherwise disposed of
  • items will be listed for sale at reasonable prices for used items, and not for amounts equivalent to what one would pay for the item if it was new
  • if an item does not sell within a reasonable period of time, usually two weeks, the price will either be lowered for a second sale attempt, or the item will be donated/recycled or otherwise disposed of
  • we will not sell items with a value exceeding $1,000
  • proceeds from the sale of items are the property of the client

GENERAL

  1. Clients must make every effort to remove valuables, and items they wish to keep from the premises prior to work being started.  We will not be held responsible for disposal of items if we are not made aware that they should be kept.   
  2. All waste facility fees are included in our overall fees, with the exception of the additional fees charged by the waste facility for drywall/gypsum, mattresses and green waste.
  3. We do not provide deep cleaning services of any kind, however empty premises will be swept and loose garbage will be removed. 
  4. Legacy Estate Removal, or the client, can end the service at any time prior to completion provided 2 days’ notice is given.  Any outstanding fees will be invoiced at that time.
  5. The content of all client documents and other personal information that the employees of Legacy Estate Removal become privy to during the process of performing the job will be kept strictly confidential.
  6. If requested, Legacy Estate Removal may assist in hiring a third party on behalf of the client to perform services that may be required, but that Legacy Estate Removal doesn’t provide, for example, grounds cleanup or landscaping.  Legacy Estate Removal will not be held responsible for the quality of services provided by these third parties.
  7. Legacy Estate Removal will have control over work time, methods of carrying out tasks and decision making while providing services, however, we will be responsive to the needs and concerns of the client.  
  8. Legacy Estate Removal will provide all tools necessary to complete the services agreed upon with the client.
  9. Aside from any settlement paid from an insurance claim, the client agrees to indemnify Legacy Estate Removal from any liability which may result from the services rendered.
  10. The client can request proof of insurance from Legacy Estate Removal at any time.
  11. A quote for services will be provided to the client prior to the start of the job. Fees will be charged in accordance with this quote, however, Legacy Estate Removal reserves the right to change the fees as the job progresses, if unforeseen circumstances arise requiring greater services to be provided.
  12. A deposit of $500 must be paid by the client prior to any work being done.
  13. For the remaining amount, Legacy Estate Removal will invoice the Client every two weeks.  Invoices are due upon receipt.
  14. All fees are subject to 5% GST.
  15. Invoices paid by credit card are subject to an additional fee in addition to the fees charged.
